Slide 18: Other Contact Methods

Finally, if neither of your first two contact methods reflect the manner in which you primarily interact with consumers, you need to offer that method as a third method. For example, if consumers primarily interact with you by shopping in your brick and mortar stores, you could provide a paper form available in the stores to accept privacy requests. While this “primary method” requirement applies only to opt-outs and making additional information available to consumer who have questions, as a best practice, we recommend accepting all CCPA requests via each of the contact methods you offer.

Note if any of your methods offer to opt out of sales or to delete information offer a choice applicable to less than all of a consumer’s information, you must offer a choice to opt-out of all sales or to delete all information more prominently than the partial choices.
